This dossier seeks to shed light on the current issues associated with the phenomenon of tourism at different scales: the making of a global tourist space, the power of tourism to infuse places, the ways in which individuals inhabit the world as tourists, the spatial configurations involving the copresence of tourists and residents, the vulnerability of tourist places.
